What do you think is marijuana addictive or not?
Many have wondered “is marijuana addictive?” This is a question that is often asked, and many people presume to know the answer. Based upon personal sparing in it’s, many assume that marijuana is not in addictive substance.
One question remains in debate is marijuana additive
There is a whole subculture built up around this very idea. On the other hand, there are many people seeking marijuana addiction treatment and rehabilitation services for dependency or marijuana addiction. In short, some people appear to be addicted to marijuana, while many others use it often without it becoming a problematic behavior. So, which is the correct answer? Is it, or is it not, in addictive drug?
Marijuana is it addictive
There is actually a lot of government-subsidized research on this issue. After looking at the data, there is evidence that for all the people who have ever smoked marijuana, roughly 4% meet and demonstrates that clinical criteria for drug dependency.
Unfortunately, a lot of proponents and advocates for this drug smoke it themselves and most probably do not think marijuana is addictive. This is not to detract from these people personally, but many of the arguments they will make our subjective, not objective in based on facts, figures and qualitative research.
Marijuana may be psychologically addictive
It is true that marijuana does not have some of the traits of harder, more chemically addictive drugs like cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, heroin and other opiates. In many cases, marijuana usage is psychologically addictive, and the proper rehabilitative countermeasures are mostly behavioral in scope. To put it another way, breaking a marijuana addiction involves behavioral therapy not chemical-based intervention. I guess maybe some think because you do not go through the withdrawals like this other drugs makes it a piece of cake to quit smoking weed therefore it is not addictive.
Because of this, it is wrong to associate marijuana with the previously mentioned harsher drugs. Yet, marijuana should not get an easy pass because it can still work as a gateway drug. Some teens and other users may start with marijuana and then move into something a little more chemically addictive and life altering.
For this reason, marijuana should always be approached responsibly while keeping in mind that it is illegal. People go to jail all the time for possessing or selling it. Sometimes, the social circumstances around a drug can be just as destructive as the drug itself.
One thing you may want to look at if you are trying to determine if you may have a marijuana addiction is how much are you actually spending on it, how many blunts you smoke a day, do you neglect other things to get or smoke weed, and are you doing something illegal to maintain your supply of pot. If you have answered yes to all of these or just some you may want to think about seeking some marijuana treatment because if you stop smoking marijuana if nothing else happens you will save a lot of money.
Good luck

The Addiction Directory Says:
I started smoking weed when I was 18 and did it everyday and night for almost 4 years. Used to buy it ounces at a time just to save money and I never shared (hated crabs smoking my stuff). I just got tired of it. My body rejected it but it also started changing my thought process. I would become paranoid to the point I didnt trust anyone and I started thinking crazy thoughts while I was high. Weed does have some type of addicting effect and I does harm you in one way or another.
Art Says:
Hi thanks for sharing that I tend to agree with you because at one point in my addiction I was smoking weed and became paranoid too scared the shit right out of me so I left it alone however at this point in my life it did not detour me from pursuing other drugs. I thank God I am clean today and do not have to deal with the consequences of using drugs.
Good luck
