Trying to stop drug abuse maybe the Government or State has funding for free Drug Rehab
If you are trying to stop drug abuse and are seeking help through state or government funding there is help out there; although some states are better funded than others. Keep in mind that these free drug rehabs are not going to be advertised; in fact, you may have a lot of footwork to do in order to find one.
How to find a government or state funded rehab
I look at it like this if you are not willing to do whatever it takes to get the drug addiction help you need then why bother. This may sound kind of harsh but then again we are talking about what you are willing to do to save your life.
I would try and look at it kind of like getting a job only in this case it is more important than a job. Also think about all the time you spent using and trying to find ways and means to get and use more drugs. If you put in a quarter of the time you spent doing this you should have no trouble finding help to stop drug abuse.
Getting rehab is quite hard, not only because it takes a lot of courage to kick off a bad habit, but also because it can be quite expensive if the person does not have insurance. However, there are different alternatives when it comes to paying. There are ways where people can find government or state drug rehab facilities which might not charge a cent.
Some states use tax payer money to help fund free drug rehab for addicts who need help
Drug addiction is a burden not only for the individual, but for society in general. Because of these there are different states that have developed alcohol and drug rehabilitation programs that they fund themselves using tax payer money to pay for free drug rehab.
This is good because, some drug addicts commit crimes in order to get drugs. That means that tax payers will need to spend money on sending the individual to jail. If the individual kicks of the habit, his or her probabilities of living a life of crime will decrease dramatically.
Search on line for state and government funded alcohol and drug rehabs
Individuals who need this kind can of addiction help can go online and look for treatment centers that are run by the State or by the Federal Government.
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration of the Unite States Department of health provides information on drug treatment programs and alcohol abuse treatment programs. The information can be found at findtreatment.samhsa.gov.
The website has a “facility locator” where people can choose their state and fill some information such as the city they are in, and their zip code. The system looks for the nearest treatment facilities and offers detail information about the rehabilitation centers.
The website has lots of information for the individual to decide what kind of facility to choose. There are lots of places that are willing to help out by offering free drug rehab.
I would suggest that while you are trying to find a drug rehab that you also start attending NA meetings this is what they do in residential treatment in rehab. Who knows you may actually be able to stop using drugs and not have to worry about finding a rehab. I know many people have used this program to get clean and sober including myself. I will not cost you a thing but an hour and half of your time. NA can also be found in a lot of countries around the world.
Good luck
