Stop using Opiate addiction treatment

Many people ask questions like what are my choices for opiate treatment. Ok here are a few for you.

How to overcome an opiate addiction with Detox at home from opiates

Now days people opt to  detox from opiates at home this basically involves lying in bed or on the couch watching TV. This is not the most desirable way because without drugs to help the opiate withdrawal symptoms one will have to deal with backbiting withdrawals. If you try it this way your chances are slim that you will make it because it will be a grueling 3 to 5 days of misery, most people who try it give up before they are halfway through. This is one option and it is certainly cheaper than conventional rehab but it is the hardest way to stop using opiates.

Opiate rehab

The next option is to go to an opioid addiction rehab. I would recommend this option because you can be detoxed medically and then follow it up with residential treatment. If you choose this way to get clean and sober keep in mind that it will be expensive so keep this in mind. Another thing one should think about is that a lot of people leave opiate treatment and relapse shortly thereafter. So one can not be assured that this method is fool proof because they are not going to wave a magic wan over you and all of the sudden you are cured of addiction. The opiate withdrawal for this process is generally around 5 days of medical detox. This will be followed by residential treatment where you will be exposed to- recovery related videos, group therapy, 12 step meetings like NA-AA, lectures, and individual addiction therapy.

Ultra rapid opiate detox

The last option is the opiate addict might want to consider is ultra rapid opiate detox. This procedure is pretty new and is done by sedating the person and then removing the opiates from their system. Most people will not experience any withdrawal. I know this sounds unreal to anyone who has actually experienced withdrawals. There are however some drawbacks one of which is that it is very expensive and will not be covered by insurance as of yet. Plus they do not school the opiate addict as to how not to return to active addiction like your more conventional rehabs do. Therefore there is a high rate of relapse involved here. Due to the high cost of this type of treatment I would think long and hard before I spent thousands of dollars on an ultra rapid opiate detox.

I used to use every kind of opioid drug I could get my hands before I stopped using drugs. I had been to many different rehabs and detox centers over a span of 30 yrs of active drug abuse. The only type of treatment I never has was rapid opiate detox. I have been clean many years now and I now write on this site and a couple of others to let addicts everywhere now that they can stop using drugs, lose the desire to use, plus find a new way to live drug free.

OK you have 3 options here why not make the decision to try one of them and learn how to stop using opiates now. Do not delay the life you save may even be your own!
