Herion withdrawl treatment
Many people out there are struggling with a heroin addiction they are afraid of what will happen if they stop using heroin and some of them do not know there is help. I am not sure whether they are just so lost in their addiction or what the reason is they do not know of places to seek help like heroin addiction treatment.
Let me just say that what ever I write about you can bet that I have been there and done that. Now let me explain a little bit about heroin treatment. First of all you can put your fear to rest because there you can detox from heroin and it will be relatively painless in heroin addiction rehab .
How to get treatment for heroin withdrawal
Now some people can not afford to go to drug rehab for one reason or another but do not let this stop you because there are a lot of free rehabs that can help you plus there are State and government drug rehabs if you are willing to put in the time and effort to find one.
If you decide to do this you may also like to know how this will be done in a lot of places they use subutex for the first day or two and then switch it to suboxone. This whole procedure takes from 3 to 5 days. It will be done by people who are trained for this purpose and you will basically just get a lot of bed rest.
Keep in mind when you finish with heroine withdrawal then it’s on to residential treatment. Here you will learn the necessary information to not return to active addiction once you leave rehab. While there you will be attending lectures, going to NA meetings, watching recovery videos, and having individual therapy.
In my opinion heroin withdrawl treatment is a wonderful way to kick heroin. It takes guts to make the commitment to quit using heroin so why not make a commitment to yourself right now to go to heroin rehab? It really does not matter if this is not your first attempt at trying to stop heroin all that matters is that you are willing to try again perhaps this time will be the miracle.
One more thing I would suggest is to make an exit plan for when you leave write down all the things that you are going to do for your recovery once you leave treatment this will be a big help.
A lot of people that leave rehab do not have an exit strategy guess what happens to them well you would be right if you said that they relapsed. Usually they will use the same day they get out and at the most within a week if they are lucky.
If you do not want to join the long line of people who relapsed shortly after leaving substance abuse rehab then it may not be a bad idea to hit some NA meetings. These meetings are held in many locations all around the world.
I would suggest that you attend meetings daily for at least 3 months. While you are there try sharing whats going on with you and how you are doing in your recovery from drug addiction. Do not feel bad if you do not want to share a lot of people are scared to share I was one of them. I thought I would sound stupid and that I did not have anything good to say like some of the NA gurus.
Do not let that stop you share anything that is related to recovery and do not worry about sounding good what you have to say may help someone to stay clean another day.
Good luck
