With this being said it would not hurt to go to your local drug store and pick up some Motrin and perhaps some Benadryl. The Motrin will help relieve muscle cramps as well as headaches caused by your heroin withdrawal. The benadryl may actually help you to sleep, should the staying awake as long as possible idea prove to not help much.

Now if you can afford medication I would suggest that you go to an addictionoligist and get a prescription for suboxone. Then you can detox from heroin more comfortably without being concerned about heroin withdrawal. One can also choose how long they want to take to come off the heroin or you can stay on suboxone indefinitely.

I have personally used suboxone to get off of heroin but it did not work for me because I was not through getting high yet another words I had not really surrendered that drugs had beaten me.

It really does not matter which method you choose to stop using heroin the important thing is that you make the decision to stop and then take action to do so.
