Getting through heroin withdrawal using suboxone. Today I would like to share with everyone some ways to stop using heroin mainly I will be writing about heroin withdrawal with suboxone. This is a great way to stop using heroin I have used it in rehab as well as suboxone at home as I have said in the past I am an old school heroin addict who used for many years.
I went to drug rehab many years ago and was detoxed with subutex and suboxone. They started me out with the subutex and tapered off to suboxone. While I was still in residential treament the doctor wanted to talk with me. He asked me what I thought about the suboxone.
I said it worked very well for me and he wen on to ask if I would like to be on suboxone when I went home and I was like hell ya. The doctor gave me a script for a moths supply and I was on suboxone maintenance.
If you are thinking about using the method of a suboxone at home heroin withdrawal you should keep in mind that this drug is quite expensive and no insurance will cover it yet.

One way to kick heroin is to go to heroin treatment. If you decided to do this find a heroin rehab in your are give them a call find out if they take insurance. Then tell them about your using and be sure to ask if they do heroin detox and residential treatment because I am assuming that you will need both.
I have done this several times and you will be made quite comfortable during this procedure. They will more than likely use help you for heroin withdrawal with suboxone.
This method is quite painless and you can lounge around or sleep or sit in the smoke room and puff cigarettes all day the choice is yours. In most cases your heroin withdrawal with suboxone will take from 3 to five days.
Next you will go to residential treatment where you will learn how to stay clean upon leaving. When in residential you will watch recovery videos, go to group, individual counseling and 12 step meetings.
I would suggest that you talk with your counselor and set up a plan of what you are going to do to remain clean when you leave. You may want to continue counseling or go to NA meetings so write a list of the days and times you will be going as well as where they are. This should be of help to any heroin addict who sincerely wants to stop using.
Good luck
