Getting through morphine withdrawal with little pain during morphine detox
Many people suffered through morphine withdrawal without rehab because back in the day there was a whole lot of addiction to morphine. This mostly occurred during WW II the big one. During war pain is inevitable and this being the case morphine was a necessity.
The morphine drug was often given to medical personal with a syringe. It was not long and the morphine found its way around to the enlisted and morphine addiction was not long in coming.
The Soldiers disease is know as morphine addiction
After the war those who became addicted to this drug were still using when they returned home from the armed forces. What happened is that when they ran out or decided to quit using morphine they got very sick from the symptoms of morphine withdrawal. There were so many addicts back then that when people talked about them they referred to them as having the Soldiers disease.

One thing a person can do when they finish with their withdrawal and morphine detox is join a 12 step program like NA. These types of 12 step programs are free the only thing required for membership is the desire to stop using. So in other words if you do not want to return to active addiction you qualify.
NA meetings can help you overcome an addiction to morphine
I personally still attend NA meetings but when I started it was suggested that I attend ninety meetings in ninety days. I did this twice and as a rule I do not suggest things for others that I have not done myself.
Getting through morphine withdrawl
Morphine is most defiantly a powerful narcotic opioid drug and those who are addicted to the substance will face serious withdrawal symptoms if they suddenly stop taking it all at once. Withdrawal from morphine can be a painful event and symptoms can begin within a few hours. The Withdrawal process is worse for addicts that have been using the drug for years, but all users will experience some level of withdrawal symptoms.
Some of the common withdrawal symptoms of opiate drugs are physical pain, nausea, anxiety, insomnia, restlessness, and profuse sweating. Once someone stops taking morphine the most intense symptoms occur within the first few days and continue for around one week. Someone with a severe addiction should not try to go through the withdrawal process on their own. They need to be supervised by professionals who can provide expert medical help.
So my suggestion to you is that if you are going to use this program as one of your addiction recovery tools to stop using drugs and overcome withdrawal from morphine then you should do the ninety in ninety; furthermore I would suggest that you get a lot of phone numbers and by all means find a sponsor. If you do all this you improve your chance of staying clean a hell of a lot.
Many people become addicted to morphine after an accident or sports injury. They begin using the drug to relieve pain, as it was prescribed by their physician but as their body adjusts to the medication they feel like they need more of the drug to get the same pain relief effect. After a while they begin to notice that they feel terrible when they stop taking morphine and become desperate when they do not have access to the drug. Once their injuries are healed they are unable to stop taking the pain relief medication because they are now a full blown addict.
Some people find that herbal remedies help them through the withdrawal process. People can visit their doctor and be admitted to the hospital while they go through withdrawal, but it is far better for an addict to enter into a good rehab facility. The addiction to morphine is not only physical, it is also a mental and emotional addiction and rehab will provide help in all areas.
Long term drug rehab
If you have found that this did not work for you then perhaps you need something with more structure and for this I would suggest that you go to long term drug rehab. This will give you the opportunity to work on some of the character defects that contributed to your using.
Long term rehab will also give you a chance to change careers or go back to school if you have the desire to do so. It has been my experience that with long term drug treatment you can not lose. So if this applies to you then I would look into going soon.
Good luck
