Celebrate Recovery Program is for hurts hang-ups drug abuse and alcoholism
Perhaps you’ve heard about the Celebrate Recovery from a family member, friend, or through the media; however, you really don’t know much about it.
Celebrate Recovery was started in 1991 by John Baker who was the preacher at Saddleback Christian Church. The Celebrate Recovery program reaches out to help those who have problems with everything from gender disorders to those who simply want to get clean stop drug abuse.
Celebrate Recovery is very similar to those of many other addiction programs but it focuses on Jesus Christ whereas other programs (such as AA) only ask members to recognize that there is a higher power. Christianity is a high focus in the Celebrate Recovery program and the 12 steps and 8 principles are founded on Bible verses and Biblical principles.
Want to overcome addiction or stop drinking try celebrate recovery
This program was started as a means to help those who are hurting, want to stop drinking alcohol, or simply have hang-ups by letting them know that Jesus loves them.
Unlike the majority of programs, Celebrate Recovery does not have any requirements for membership and does not ask for you to pinpoint what you are trying to conquer. If you are attempting to overcome gambling, you are just as welcome as someone fighting an addiction with drugs.
A former president stated that Celebrate Recovery was able to change hearts where the government could not.
Like most programs that want members to admit to a higher God, Celebrate Recovery has been scrutinized and controversial. However, despite opposition, it seems that allowing Jesus into the program was a good idea since Celebrate Recovery has been quite successful.
Saddleback Christian Church has continued to have the Celebrate Recovery program and served over 7,500 people with an estimated 70% of those in the program from outside of the church. It is said that 85% of those who complete the program stay with the church and become volunteers themselves.
Celebrate Recovery meetings are held throughout the country. If you think that this program might help you with your addictions, please look into finding a group near you. This program may help to restore you to sanity or even save your life.
My sponsor talked me in to going with him one of the meetings and it was actually very good meeting I have since been a lot of times. I have seen a lot of people there celbrating their clean time of being free from drug addiction as well as folks who just to want to learn how to stop drinking and learn how to live life on life’s terms.
Why not check it out it may be just what you need!
