Fioricet is a prescription drug that consists of acetaminophen, which is widely used for pain relief and to reduce fevers. It also includes the drug Butalbita, which comes from the barbiturates family of drugs. It is know to reduce muscle contractions that are often experienced in tension headaches.

One more ingredient in Fioricet is caffeine, widely known as a nervous system stimulate, which is known to improve blood flow in the blood vessels by relaxing muscle contractions. There are drugs known to interact with the prescription drug Fioricet. Some of these would include antibiotics, Coumadin, a blood thinner, zidovudine, some seizure medications, gout medications, some MAO inhibitors, certain steroids, and certain antidepressants.

Fioricet which can and does lead to fioricet addiction is mainly prescribed for the pain of very bad headaches, premenstrual pain, chronic muscle pain, premenstrual pain, and many other painful conditions. Butalbita which is in the drug Fioricet is also very addicting. Many people abuse this drug, which often leads to Fioricet addiction. A doctor should be consulted before taking the medication. Overdosing on this drug is also very common.

It is very difficult to withdraw from Fioricet addiction. Many people report having serious withdrawal problems like convulsions, and becoming delirious. I used to take this drug for headaches and I already had a drug problem. Well if you have not guessed it yet I started abusing them too.
