How can I secure funding for substance abuse treatment to get through a hydrocodone addiction?
If you need drug treatment then you should get on the phone and try to secure funding for rehab so that you can make an effort to change your life. I know what it is like to be trapped in a cycle of addiction and I know full well what it is costing you financially, spiritually, and emotionally.
How to find substance abuse treatment for hydrocodone or opiate addiction
The price of treatment may seem high but if you want your life back then no cost is too much. Figure out a way to get into rehab and then just go. Don’t stop and think about it or hesitate in any way or you may talk yourself out of it. Take the necessary steps to get there fast. Once you make the decision to change, you need to follow it up with immediate action if you want to succeed in overcoming you opiate addiction.
Going to substance abuse treatment is not a cure for addiction. There is no cure to overcome an addiction to hydrocodone; unfortunately, your trip to rehab is just a humble beginning on what is going to be a very long journey. This is both a good and a bad thing. The bottom line is that any substance abuse rehab center can and will help you, but none of them will cure you or even have a large advantage over the others.
There are no special potions or cures for hydrocodone addiction or any other drugs for that matter including alcoholism. Pick a rehab as close to home and just go. The outcome is not determined by the quality of their therapists or even by the length of stay.
What is most important is your conviction in wanting to be clean and sober. That is the primary concern and if you do not truly want to be clean, then it is not time to go to rehab yet. Sad as that is to say, you probably have more pain to go through before you are willing to make the level of change necessary to stay clean.
Most people underestimate the level of change they need to go through. You have to literally change your whole life, starting with who you are as a person. You change from the inside out. Everything changes if you do it right and stay sober. You will be a different person in a few months if you stay sober. You will have to be. If you are not, then you will be drinking and drugging again. That is just how it is.
The way to get to this massive amount of change in early recovery is to take massive action. Most people are not up for this. They do not sense the urgency of it or see the scope of it. You need massive action.
Go to 4 NA or AA meetings per day. Go live in rehab for a year. Go work with recovering alcoholics every single day. This is massive action. This is the level that you need to be at in order to recover.
I have actually done all of this in my recovery from drug addiction and I am here to tell you it was well worth it I now have many years clean and sober and do my best to help others on a regular basis. You too can do this if you are will to put in the time and effort.
Good luck
